Being in a “special program” that was not labeled “gifted” was a negative to a lot of people but it was ONLY positive for me. It was a breath of fresh air, finally being surrounded by a staff that actually cared. Sitting in a classroom with peers, we all lived different lives with different issues but in struggle of the same goal making it out.
